The revised King Street has grown up a little in the years since it was launched. Gone is the harder sounding 15w class AB amp and in comes the sweet sounding 25w class A version with an updated preamp.
The King Street is still the great sounding amp that many people love, but the additional headroom makes the amp more versatile live. You can now not only get a great range of vintage overdrive but some excellent clean tones too.
The footswitchable overdrive boost remains, you can set the amp up so that together with the controls on the guitar you can get from clean to full overdrive with ease.
Around the back you'll find a bypass switch. This changes the efficiency of the output stage and knocks the power of the amp down to around 15 watts with a tighter low end. The result is much more pleasing than traditional triode/pentode switching as more of your tone is preserved.
